Jerny worked in the food and hospitality industry for 10 years as Food & Beverage manager at Cinemark then as a supervisor at a fine dining restaurant in Houston. When her grandfather died, Jerny took over his tax preparation business. She has her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Western Governor's University and is currently pursuing her MBA in I.T. Management.  

Jerny has a deep personal understanding of health issues having suffered from idiopathic intracranial hypertension that was challenging to diagnose and difficult to treat and affected her as a student especially working on her Bachelor’s degree.

Having learned about the terrible dog and cat overpopulation in Texas, Jerny is active in rescuing and fostering dogs and participates in a network of foster families who find permanent homes and even transport them to homes North of Texas.  She is hoping to launch a business to help animal rescuers and fosters have access to supplies at lower costs.
